UM EXCHANGE PROGRAMS IN PORTUGAL

Through our exchange agreements you can spend a semester or year abroad. Students who study abroad on an exchange pay University of Mississippi tuition and fees for the semester that they’re abroad and remain enrolled as UM students.

Independent students will find this type of program offers them the greatest connection with the culture and people of the country in which they are studying. The advantages to exchange programs are that students enjoy a high level of independence at a low cost. To learn more about how exchange programs work, click here.

UM SHORT-TERM PROGRAMS

Through our short-term programs you can spend summer or winter abroad. We offer programs at long as 6 weeks and as short as 2. You can earn 3, 6, or 9 hours in many business, liberal arts, and applied sciences courses.

The advantages of a Faculty-Led Program are that you can take 3 hours of credit in 3 weeks or 6 hours in 4 weeks while visiting a new country. Because courses are offered during winter and summer terms, you won’t miss any semester requirements – plus, spending time with a professor abroad may help you garner a good recommendation for graduate school or a job.  Wintersession courses will be posted in September.

We also offer short-term programs through our partners listed above.
